Medicine Hat used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jonathan Korona to down the Pulaski Yankees, 9-0. Brent Charles was called on to finish, recording his 1st save. The first-place Stampede now have a 6-game winning streak.
Don Painter dealt the Yankees a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Medicine Hat leading 5-0, Painter hit a 1-0 fastball for a 2-run single.
"I just try to bring what I bring to this team," said Korona.
