Davila Stars for Chukars in 8-0 Win
|
Piero Davila, who is tied for 6th in the PIO with a .591 slugging percentage, led Idaho Falls to a triumph over Calgary. The final score was 8-0. The left fielder went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 3 RBI. Pedro Pérez, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 3-1. Eduardo Leto, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Idaho Falls used a well-timed hit by Hudson Anderson to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Chukars ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
