Red Sox Upend Pioneers, 5-4
|
The inspired effort of Pocatello center fielder Sancho Reyes was not enough to prevent a loss, 5-4, to the Reidsville Red Sox. Reyes was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Reidsville reliever Adrián Cevallos, now 1-1. The loser was Nick L'Ami. Paolo Armas nailed down his 1st save.
Russ Albertson, the 19-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Albertson contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Reidsville up, 2-0.
"We'll build on this win," said Albertson.
With the win, the Red Sox have a record of 12-38.
