In a low-scoring contest, Blue Ridge pitcher Declan Lontine was marvelous in his team's 3-0 win. Ryan Morlett, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Charlie Penney earned the save, his 10th.
Tim Lofberg chipped in for Blue Ridge with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Blue Ridge manager Vicente Pulido. "Our pregame was pretty good."
