Chukars Earn 8-6 Home Win
The Idaho Falls Chukars defeated the Lethbridge Black Diamonds, 8-6, at Melaleuca Field. Idaho Falls was led by 20-year old second baseman Harrison Hernandez, who went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Kai McGough in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Archie Krus took the loss. Norberto Robledo closed it out for Idaho Falls, earning his 7th save.

Christopher Garza had a big grand slam home run for the Chukars in the bottom of the third inning. With Idaho Falls leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Archie Krus and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Chukars on top, 5-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Garza.

Idaho Falls bumps their record to 12-8 with the win.
