3-1 Win Sends Pueblo to 11-7
|
Pueblo and Pocatello got after it at Ballpark of Pocatello.
Pueblo starter German De La Cruz pitched well against the Pocatello Pioneers at Ballpark of Pocatello. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. The winner was De La Cruz. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Danny Tomlinson. Justin Selfridge closed the game out for Pueblo, earning his 3rd save.
The Indians got a big at-bat from second baseman Diego Gonzáles. For the game, Gonzáles went 1 for 2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Pueblo a 2-0 lead.
Pueblo manager Victor Arias called it "a darn good win."
Pueblo, now 11-7, holds down third place in the Pioneer League South Division.
