Chukars Victorious at Medicine Hat, 4-2
|
Idaho Falls shortstop Crazy McFall contributed significantly to his team's 4-2 win over the Medicine Hat Stampede. McFall, who is tied for 2nd in the PIO in stolen bases with 5, went 4 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Chukars. Shan Ochoa picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-2 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 6.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Norberto Robledo picked up the save, his 5th.
Idaho Falls used a clutch at-bat from Harrison Hernandez to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Chukars ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"This team keeps finding a way to win," said Idaho Falls manager Jesus Torres.
The Chukars have now reeled off 6 straight wins.
