Royals Get Dramatic 5-4 Triumph
|
The Medicine Hat Stampede got a superb performance from pitcher Brycen Patrick, but the Burlington Royals still won the game, 5-4. Patrick threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. After today's action, Burlington sits at 10-33, while Medicine Hat falls to 29-14.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when pinch hitter Riley Barker hit a 3-run home run. The Royals went on to win.
Barker said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
