Orioles Improve to 25-18 with 4-3 Win
|
The Hampton Orioles topped the Idaho Falls Chukars, 4-3, in Appalachian League action at Melaleuca Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Hampton pitcher Roberto Zamudio. Zamudio went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-0. With the win, the Orioles improved to 25-18.
Caleb Wilson, the 20-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wilson contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Hampton up, 2-0.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Wilson told the Hampton Citizen.
