Brewers Fall, 3-1, to Calgary
|
The Calgary Cannons earned a win at Kindrick Legion Field, knocking off the Helena Brewers, 3-1. On the bump for Calgary was right-hander Patrick Boston. He had a starring role in the triumph. Virgil Bills earned the save for Calgary, his 1st. The Brewers drop to 3-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2058 season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Henry Beilfuss? The Calgary second baseman had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the second inning to put the Cannons on top, 1-0. For the game, Beilfuss had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Every loss hurts," said Helena manager Jose Flores. "But this was a tough one."
