Pioneers Lose at Home, 3-1, to Casper
|
Lautaro Lara was a vital contributor to the 3-1 Casper victory over Pocatello. The Ghosts shortstop went 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. P.J. Heiss, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. The win gives Casper a record of 3-0.
Casper used the hitting of Dominic Knight to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Ghosts on top, 2-0. For the game, Knight had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Pocatello manager Ken Echols.
