The Great Falls Voyagers put the giddy home crowd in an even more jubilant mood after beating the Lethbridge Black Diamonds in the season opener at Centene Stadium. Second Baseman Erik Yaros won plaudits for Great Falls. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

With Great Falls leading 6-4 in the bottom of the eighth, Yaros hit a fastball from Wiley Totten for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Voyagers ahead, 9-4.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Yaros.
