Chatman Spins Gem for Kinston
The Kinston Indians knocked off the Reidsville Red Sox, 4-1, in Appalachian League action at Ballpark of Kinston. Kinston pitcher and Laurel, Mississippi, native Ryan Chatman had an outstanding performance. Andy Edwards recorded the save, his 16th. With the win, Kinston pushed its record to 39-29.

Chatman, now 2-0, scattered 3 hits over 7 innings for the Indians.

"Ryan was aggressive right out of the chute," said Kinston manager Gunner Litherland.
