Barnes goes 3-for-4 to Ignite Smokies Offense

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Harlan Smokies and Welch Miners.
The Harlan Smokies pinned a convincing loss on the Welch Miners, 9-3, at Pioneer Park. Don Barnes was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Harlan. Harlan goes to 33-35, Welch to 25-43.
Will Pridmore contributed to the Harlan win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
