Bulldogs Fall Short, 4-3, at Kingsport
Kingsport beat Blue Ridge at Hunter Wright Stadium, eking out a 4-3 win. The triumph was primarily due to first baseman Hale Rostan. He was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI. Logan Isaacs, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 3.1 innings. The Mets sit in 7th place in the Appalachian League West Division with a record of 29-38.

In the bottom of the fifth, Aristo Gammage delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Kingsport pinch hitter hit a 2-run single, putting the Mets in front, 4-3.

"This was a total team effort," said Rostan.
