Nuñez Spins Gem for Danville
|
Iván Nuñez was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Welch Fields. In fact, the Danville Braves left-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-1 victory over the Welch Miners. The Braves improved their record to 30-38 with the win over Welch.
The Miners had few good swings against Nuñez, the left-hander, who threw 95 pitches over 8 innings. He allowed just no runs on 3 hits.
"I had everything working," said Nuñez.
