Leftwich Jacks Two Home Runs in 8-4 Cincinnati Win
Cincinnati took on Atlanta in front of a lively crowd.

The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Atlanta Braves, 8-4, in National League action at Truist Park. Tim Leftwich pulled his weight. The 9-year veteran slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The save was Kevin Kuntz's, his 1st.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of David Reyes to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Leftwich.

With the loss, Atlanta sinks to 17-11.
