Hampton Offense Sputters in 6-0 Loss
|
The 3-RBI night of catcher Ford Mattos helped the Blue Ridge Bulldogs triumph, 6-0, over the Hampton Orioles. The win was credited to 21-year old left-handed pitcher Macey Arnott in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Taylor Hendrickson took the loss. The win boosted Blue Ridge to 39-24.
With Blue Ridge leading 3-0 in the bottom of the third, Mattos hit a fastball from Taylor Hendrickson for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Bulldogs ahead, 6-0.
"A great game, a great day," said Mattos about the win. "I can't complain."
