Not everyone stuck through the 15-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

With designated hitter Derek Ellis leading the charge, the Delco Jawns defeated the Kinston Indians, 10-2, at H.P. Hunnicutt Field. Ellis, who is tied for 6th in the APP in hits with 77, hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Ramsay Turton earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1.

Oliver Cashdollar had a big 2-run double for the Jawns in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Delco leading 3-2 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Aiden Berry and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Jawns ahead, 5-2.

"We put the pedal to the metal," said Cashdollar.

The Jawns now own a record of 42-21.
