William Gerken was nothing short of phenomenal for the Reidsville Red Sox. The 19-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Erwin Mountaineers, 3-1. Gerken yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-1. The loss makes Erwin 31-35.
