No one was more impactful than Bob Hufnagle in the 6-1 Erwin win over Reidsville. Hufnagle, who is tied for 6th in the APP in total bases with 111, went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Erwin reliever Emiliano Duran was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-0. Ronald Keegan took the loss for Reidsville. The Mountaineers saw their win-loss record go to 30-33. At the same time, the Red Sox fell to 24-39.
With Erwin leading 2-0 in the top of the seventh, Hufnagle hit a 2-run single off Reidsville hurler Pirro Deco. It was the 71st hit of the season for Hufnagle and put his team ahead, 4-0.
