Kingsport used a superb performance from starting pitcher Aaron Blankenship to down the River City Rumblers, 4-0. With the win, Kingsport has a record of 31-24. River City falls to 31-24.

Kingsport first baseman Miguel Ramírez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a changeup to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Mets ahead, 2-0.

"We take it day by day here," said Ramírez, "and today was a good one for us."
