The Elizabethton Twins dealt the Reidsville Red Sox a 6-2 loss at Joe O'Brien Field. Alante Marks was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Elizabethton reliever Timm Lippens was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was U.S. Campbell. The Twins are now 37-21, while the Red Sox fall to 19-39.
The Twins got a big at-bat from left fielder Luciano Silveira. For the game, Silveira was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Elizabethton a 3-1 lead.
