The Delco Jawns knocked off the Danville Braves, 9-2, at H.P. Hunnicutt Field. Derek Ellis was a big reason Delco won. The designated hitter belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The 7th-place Braves have lost 4 consecutive games.

Albert Romasanta had a big grand slam home run for the Jawns in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Delco leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he sized up a fastball from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Stevie Ray Mellos and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Jawns on top, 9-2.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Troy Bennett.
