Americans Rally For Late Win Over Sock Puppets
|
The Butte Americans beat the Burlington Sock Puppets, 4-3, in part because of catcher Lincoln Heeg. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win, Butte has a record of 10-15. Burlington falls to 5-20.
Felix Lyman, who leads the PIO in stolen bases with 10, helped out the Butte cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Burlington manager Jon Lopez.
