Bluefield Blue Jays pitcher Skip Schott Jr. was all business, helping his team muzzle the River City Rumblers, 3-1. Alex Jackson notched his 4th save of the season. The Appalachian League East Division-leading Blue Jays are 32-15.
Axl Cork, who is tied for 8th in the APP in total bases with 84, helped out the Bluefield cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
