Mustangs Stick Indians with 4-1 Loss
|
Billings Mustangs starter Kenny Platts was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Kinston Indians, 4-1. Don Shupp earned the save, his 1st. The Mustangs saw their win-loss record go to 11-12. At the same time, the Indians fell to 17-7.
Jimmy Hidalgo, who is tied for 10th in the PIO in triples with 1, aided the Billings cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I have a really good team behind me," Platts said. "I trust them 100 percent."
