Blue Jays Come Back Late to Clip Rumblers
|
The Bluefield Blue Jays banked on Alex Emmery and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the River City hitters in check. The final score was 2-1, Blue Jays. Bluefield, at 25-18, sits in third place in the Appalachian League East Division.
Tad Lowe was the walk-off hero for Bluefield. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Blue Jays second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We found a way to win tonight," Lowe said.
