Bernstein goes 4-for-4 to Fuel Twins Offense

At Joe O'Brien Field, the Blue Ridge Bulldogs and Elizabethton Twins were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Pat Bernstein led Elizabethton to a win over Blue Ridge. The final score was 8-0. Bernstein scored 3 times, going 4 for 4. He also knocked in 1 RBI. Randy Laity was the winner. He's now 3-1. The loser was Dwight Porter.
Israel Tejeda had a big 2-run double for the Twins in the bottom of the third inning. With Elizabethton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Dwight Porter and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 3-0.
"We were firing on all cylinders," said Twins manager David Cardona.
Elizabethton occupies second place in the Appalachian League West Division at 29-15.
