The Delco Jawns, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at H.P. Hunnicutt Field.

The Bluefield Blue Jays could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Norse Jones into a win. Instead, the Delco Jawns prevailed, 4-1. Jones threw 7.2 innings of 6-hit ball. Delco reliever Jayden Arria was the winner. His record is now 4-0. The losing pitcher was Stanley McDonough.

Delco got a clutch hit from Warren Hirabayashi. The pinch hitter launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

Bluefield manager Aiden Niemann, after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."

Delco is now 22-17, while Bluefield is 22-17.
