Fayetteville Frogs starter Joshua Darvin found his groove in his team's 5-1 win over the Bluefield Blue Jays. Earning his 9th save of the year was Travis Roberts. The win puts the Frogs at 23-16, while the Blue Jays drop to 27-12.
Adrian Rodriguez went 1 for 4 for Fayetteville. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring single off Steven McCartney. It was his 25th hit of the season.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Darvin.
