The Harlan Smokies beat the Raleigh Cubs by a score of 8-0. Harlan center fielder Andy Stover deserved the lion's share of the credit. Stover went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Smokies. The win went to Aron Rivera in relief, making him now 3-0. Ramiro Vera took the loss for Raleigh. With the victory, the Smokies upped their record to 21-19.

In the top of the fourth, the Smokies found themselves in a jam. Raleigh had the bases loaded with two out. The score was 4-0, Harlan. Enrique Juarez was at the plate, hoping to deal the Smokies a serious blow. Instead, he grounded out to end the threat.
