Jayden Lungren, who is tied for 10th in the APP with a 1.27 ERA, never let the Royals get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Mountaineers to a win, 2-0. Luca Granados was called on to finish, recording his 9th save. The misery never ends for the Royals, who've lost 14 in a row.

Erwin used the timely hitting of Gabriel Del Castillo to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mountaineers on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I told my wife I'm not changing my underwear again until we win," said losing manager Howard Charles. "I haven't seen her since last Tuesday."
