Late Rally by Mountaineers Seals 5th Straight Win

Erwin and Delco took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Erwin catcher Cliff Williams made his presence felt in the 6-2 Mountaineers triumph over the Delco Jawns. Williams went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. J'Ron White came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
Williams had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Solomon Cucchi, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Mountaineers a 3-1 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Williams.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Williams. "Those qualities define our team."
Erwin has an impressive 28-12 record.
