Losing Streak Continues for Royals with 6-1 Loss to Mets
Burlington had no answer for Kingsport Mets hurler Randal Lara, who overwhelmed Royals hitters as the Mets coasted to victory, 6-1. Lara, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. The 5th-place Mets have won 4 in a row.

Diego Mojica came through with a big-time hit for Kingsport. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Randal gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Kingsport skipper Blake Nelson.
