Burlington Still On the Schneid After 2-1 Loss to Mets
|
The Kingsport Mets eked out a 2-1 win versus the Burlington Royals at Burlington Athletic Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Bylent Claus. He was terrific. Burlington is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
Kingsport used the hitting of Kenon Cormany to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mets on top, 2-0. For the game, Cormany had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"There is no easy way to lose when you're doing everything you can to win games," said Burlington manager Howard Charles.
