Indians Take Home 4-1 Win Over Elizabethton
The Kinston Indians knocked off the Elizabethton Twins, 4-1, at Ballpark of Kinston. Kris Hughes was a big reason Kinston won. The second baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Sandro Duran, the winner, improved to 1-3. He held the Twins to 1 run on 5 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0. With the win, Kinston pushed its record to 19-15.

Early in the game, Hughes had a 2-run home run for Kinston. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Indians on top, 2-0.

"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Hughes. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
