Reidsville Slaps 9-3 Loss on Fayetteville
|
The timely hitting of Aaron Sterling helped the Reidsville Red Sox down the Fayetteville Frogs, 9-3. Sterling was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Red Sox. The second-place Red Sox improved to 20-13.
Reidsville used the hitting of Larry Pohlman to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-0. For the game, Pohlman had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Fayetteville manager Oscar Ramales.
