|
Blue Ridge turned a good performance from starting pitcher Lance Park into a 5-1 triumph over the Kinston Indians at Ballpark of Blue Ridge. Nevada Redding recorded his 10th save for Blue Ridge. The win gives Blue Ridge a season record of 18-11.
The Bulldogs got a big at-bat from second baseman Mike Cothern. For the game, Cothern went 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Blue Ridge a 2-0 lead.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Cothern.
