De La Rosa Impresses as Mets Knock Off Rumblers, 2-0
The Kingsport Mets got a magnificent performance from pitcher E.J. De La Rosa, who muffled the River City offense en route to a tight, 2-0 Mets win at Ballpark of River City. Juan Cruz locked down his 1st save. The losses continue to pile up for River City, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.

De La Rosa, a native of Las Charcas, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept River City hitters off-balance, while giving the Mets 7 quality innings. De La Rosa threw 94 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.

River City manager Sawyer Damon, after yet another defeat, said: "We don't want to panic. At the same time, we need to stop the bleeding."
