Orioles Win in Extras, 11-10
The Hampton Orioles did just enough to sneak past the Bluefield Blue Jays, 11-10, at Hampton Stadium. Hampton shortstop Jim Esmael, in particular, had a standout performance. The Orioles, at 10-11, inhabit 6th place in the Appalachian League West Division.

Zach Lamp delivered a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th to win it for the Orioles. For the game, Lamp went 1-2.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Hampton skipper Kyle Kovac.
