Gareth Banda never let Kingsport get something going. The Fayetteville left-hander commanded his sinker in pitching the Frogs to a 4-1 win. The 8th-place Frogs improved to 7-11.

Julian Riggio, who leads the APP in triples with 2, contributed to the Fayetteville win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.

"Gareth pitched the ball pretty freaking great," said Fayetteville manager Ryan Maxfield.
