Frogs Win 2-1 Walk-Off
|
The Fayetteville Frogs had to overcome a good performance from Pueblo pitcher Brian Wilkes to claim a 2-1 win at Fayetteville Grounds. Wilkes went 9 innings and allowed no runs. The loss makes Pueblo 2-6.
Fayetteville won the game in the bottom of the 17th inning. With two outs and Jessy Cummings on the mound for Pueblo, left fielder Seamus Herschell hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Frogs fans to their feet.
"We had a chance to win," said Pueblo manager Matt Miner, "but we didn't get it done."
