The Fayetteville Frogs picked up a win at Devault Memorial Stadium, dropping the Bristol Pirates, 5-3. P.J. Fernandes was the difference-maker. The win moves Fayetteville to a record of 8-5.

Fayetteville used the hitting of Gannon DeMuynck to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Frogs on top, 4-0. For the game, DeMuynck had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"P.J. just settled in and did what he does," said Fayetteville manager Ryan Maxfield.
