Jacob Anderson knocked in 4 runs to help Blue Ridge beat Welch, 6-5. The Anchorage, Alaska native tallied 1 single and 1 home run. With the loss, Welch is 6-6.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Blue Ridge trailing 5-2, Anderson jumped on a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Donnel Fiore and hit a grand slam home run to center. With one swing, the Bulldogs had a walk-off win.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Anderson told reporters after the game.
