Red Sox Get Clutch Win Versus Burlington
The Reidsville Red Sox did just enough to sneak past the Burlington Royals, 3-2, at Burlington Athletic Stadium. Reidsville pitcher Christopher Lowe, in particular, had a standout performance. Picking up the save was 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jayden Dávalos. The loss drops the Royals to 0-3.

Had Jayden Paine not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Paine hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Red Sox.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Howard Charles.
