Vibes Beat Osprey, 3-0
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The bats were silent much of the day at Ballpark of Portsmouth. But V.J. Rose conjured up just enough offense to carry the Vibes past the Missoula Osprey, 3-0. Rose went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The save went to Christopher Hyatt, his 2nd this season.
Rose had a key at-bat for Rocky Mountain early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Rocky Mountain an early 2-0 lead.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Rose.
The victory makes Rocky Mountain 2-0.
