5-Hit Barrage by Gimlin Friday, July 2nd , 2032 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Pittsburgh (FCL) Pirates center fielder Nate Gimlin, who missed the team's pre-game session at Grizzlies Ballpark but peppered the Houston (FCL) Astros Blue for 5 hits come game time. The Pirates went on to grab the 13-4 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Nate Gimlin singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
