Felix Laces 3 HR Against Modesto Wednesday, September 21st , 2033 Fans are still buzzing after San Jose whipped the Modesto Nuts by the score of 16-7 at John Thurman Field. Luis Felix smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the first baseman bashed out 3 hits in 5 at-bats, had 5 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Felix said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Felix said. "Three is just... wow." Luis Felix hit a two-run home run off Dashawn Virgil in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Kolbrin Vitek Jr. in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Juan Garza in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. For the season, Felix is batting .275 with 136 hits and 27 home runs. He has scored 68 times and batted in 74. |
