Cubs Move on to Round 2 Thursday, September 25th , 2031 South Bend Cubs fans are rejoicing after a 2-0 win at Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium has propelled the club to a 4-1 Round 1 victory over the Beloit Sky Carp. With the win, the club advanced on to the Round 2. "Total team effort, that's the only way we get it done in this one," said South Bend starting pitcher Tim Green, who was named series MVP. The South Bend Cubs don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Fort Wayne TinCaps - Lake County Captains series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece.
